Valkyries Novel by Paulo Coelho (5- conclusion) post by Ranu

To see his angel ,Paulo needed to do three things:1. break a pact, 2. accept forgiveness,3. make  a bet.

To meet his angel Paulo needed help from Valkyries. He promised he’ll never raise his hand against himself. He promised in the name of St. Michael, only God’s hand will be responsible for everything. He would have to come out of darkness to break the pact.

He found the door that led him to the shining sun.Next step for Paulo was to accept forgiveness.Paulo could not forgive because he had hatred in his heart and therefore he thought he was unworthy of seeing his angel.Rotha the young Valkyrie couldn’t see her angel because she had fear in her heart.Valhalla the eldest Valkyrie put them together to help each other.Paulo was able to forgive and Rotha conquered fear.Paulo was glad he met two out of three conditions. The last one to make a bet was simple. He almost failed the third, his angel’s protection prevailed during channeling,he was able to speak with the angels! he realized then he will see his angel because  he met the third condition.

I found the book interesting. There were a lot of rituals, and magic.I at times found it confusing.I didn’t understand the whole thing by reading only once. There are instances there which makes me wonder, whether I  comprehended it fully.

The author himself admitted having difficulty writing it from beginning to end.

Surfing the internet sometimes helps to find  rare gems. I found one such personality. It’s a young woman from Pakistan. I was thrilled to hear her speak. Her name is Fatima Bhutto,  I watched it on YouTube. She happens to be Benazir Bhutto’s niece. I liked her not because of her family name. She is really a very intelligent woman. She talked about her country, so many young educated  people who can do a lot to improve the condition of her country.I was amazed to see the number of journalists present.

She can do quite well, without her famous relatives. She makes it known right away.  Is  highly educated, has a very good command of English.  Is very impressive ,I hope some day she’ll be able to help her country. She certainly has the potential to do so.

DP Daily Prompt: Criticize Post by Ranu

I accidentally came across this title this morning. I think it’s a good one to write about.

I picked this title, it seems to be something we do  automatically.  Once in college I made a comment about a student there.I said ‘Asiya is such a nice girl and she is so pretty.’ My classmate immediately gave her unwanted opinion, ‘O she walks funny’.  I was always attacked by her no matter what I said. If I said ‘ he is a good singer’, immediate response from the same person,’He is a womanizer’. It got so bad I never opened my mouth when she was around.

I sometimes wonder what kind of pleasure can a person get by undermining someone. This is the kind of criticism I can do without. Lately there are all kinds of criticism about a young man,who won the leadership of his party. He is a smart man, is the son of a very famous father who was the prime minister several times. The ruling party is already wasting no time criticizing him. He wasn’t a good teacher, the way he dresses.I’m not sure what else they’ll come up with .They are trying their best to destroy him. There is no such thing as fair in politics. This is the main reason I hate politics. The parties bring out as much dirt about the opposing party as they can. I am also doing the same thing I hate, this is because I feel ,we need smart young people to run the country. If there are so many obstacles in their path, they will not come forward.

I like the U.S. system,a president can only have two terms. In some countries they’re there for life. In my humble opinion constructive criticism is good. If it is the other way around,it hurts, the people and the country.
