I do not know anything about facebook. Freedom is a word I believe can be misused. Facebook has come under attack? I’m glad the users or non users are taking steps to have some guidelines. I don’t think it’s  a place for hate speech or violent imagery. Having guidelines can help all those who use this to talk about themselves. It’s perfectly all right, but when it is used for a negative purpose,it should be controlled.

I sometimes see comments made by people when they watch YouTube distasteful to say the least. If users are not comfortable to watch, read whatever the case maybe, the best thing is to move on.There is no need to use swear words,it shows disrespect and also doesn’t say much about the person who is doing it.

  2. Dear Ranu,

    Thank you for this.

There are indeed many users of the internet, often but not always hiding behind anonymity, and who manifest the basest of human behavior.

A hammer can be used to build some valuable, or to strike another. Fortunately, there are those on the internet who use it in the former fashion to connect with others in a positive manner.

    All good wishes,

    robert

  4. the problem with social media is that it has no watchdog over it. it provides a platform to people who need to be heard, but it turns out that many think they can gain quick attention by throwing out negativity online where they cannot be seen or caught
