A song by Tagore translation by Ranu
I came with a lot of hope.
Call me close to you,
do not send me away,
dear mother.
Call me close to you,
do not send me away,
dear mother.
I came with a lot of hope.
No one wants to be miserable,
I know you will call him.
I do not want anything else,
I just want to sit by you,
I do not want anything else,
I just want to call you mother.
If you don’t take me,
where will I find a home?
Where will I cry and wander about.
I see overcast clouds,yonder,
a dark night,
I came with a lot of hope.
Call me close to you,
do not send me away dear mother.
Dear Ranu,
Thank you very much for this.
I like very much the video and song.
I don’t know if it’s intended this way, but this beautiful poem speaks to me about the heart’s longing for a home with God.
All good wishes,
robert
It’s sometimes difficult to interpret Tagore, most of his songs are spiritual. It can be what you think.
Thanks for your comment.

Dear Chaman,
Thank you for sharing this with us! Such a beautiful poem! I have to agree with Robert, to me it also seems like the heart’s longing for a home with God.
Much love,
Shaidi
Tagore’s Mom died when he was very young,he has no recollection of her.He writes poems and songs about her, they are wonderful.
Thank you.
All good wishes to you.

Awhh I didn’t know that, perhaps it has a double meaning? I guess we will never know! Though his work will remain amazing š mashaAllah.
Much love,
Shaidi
When I read his poems and songs of mother,I feel he missed his mother a lot.
Best wishes to you Shaidi.
