Writing Prompt: A Plot Of Earth
You’re given a plot of land and have the financial resources to do what you please. What’s the plan.
First of all thank you to whoever has given me the plot of land and the financial resources to do what I please. It is a swell idea. I’ll get to work immediately so that whoever has given this land does not change his/her mind.
Here is my plan. I will divide it into parts,1. for housing; 2. for a school; 3. for a small hospital;5. for a playground; 6. a super market; 7. A Drug store; 8. farming ;9. a business center.
This place will be called :
Marghdeen: I got this idea from Allama Iqbal a renowned poet and philosopher, who spent his life thinking of a place which will be free from poverty, corrupt government, wicked landlords, thieves and beggars.
Farmers would take care of their land and will not share the produce with landlords, they’ll be able to enjoy the fruits of their labor without worrying about wicked landlords.
The residents will be able to own their home.
The school will be built to teach important subjects that will be beneficial to keep up with worldly affairs. No one will be left out.
The hospital would be built for the sick and also proper lessons will be given on how to live a healthy life.
A playground will be an important place to run around and play games.
A supermarket would have meat, fish, poultry and vegetables and grains and everything from tea coffee etc. for the consumers.
A drug store will provide medication and other things.
A business center will provide knowledge to anyone who needs to know how to carry out their daily business.
Thieves and beggars will not be seen here, because the citizens will be self sufficient.

Dear Ranu,
Thank you for this about establishing a Marghdeen. My wish is for this to be a success!
All good wishes,
robert
When I read they were giving away a plot of earth,it’s the first thing I thought, to build an imaginary Marghdeen.
Thank you for your comment.
I think when the opportunity presents itself I must grab it.Which is what I tried to do although it is imaginary.
Dear Ranu,
Perhaps the “imaginary Marghdeen” must be created before a “non-imaginary Marghdeen” can exist.
All good wishes,
robert
Yes I agree one hundred per cent. Thanks for your feedback.
Thank you very much for giving us this vivid picture of Marghdeen, and I agree with Robert too. I think, Iqbal would also have agreed, since he said that we “should realize that life can bring about no revolution in its surroundings until a revolution takes place in its inner depths and that no new world can take shape externally until it is formed in the imagination of the people.” 🙂
Thank you very much. I thought this is the way to grab opportunities.
Yes Imagination is important. I always wanted to write this, funny the plot of land told me here is your opportunity, grab it.Thank you very much I love your comment.
I await your Marghdeen, Ranu 🙂 Wonderful thoughts.
Thank you Sonya.
I love your comment, thanks.
A excellent plan and place to live.
I was raised by grandparents who always owned land and were generous with that land. When a friend lost his house they gave the house they owned to live in for free. they were always generous – I lam grateful that there are some in the world with generous hearts.
Thank you so much for your comment I appreciate it.
