Daily Prompt: Have You Never Been Mellow?

After a long day at work or school, what are your favorite ways to wind down and decompress?

My way of calming down is different I think. Now a days we are taking care of two beautiful kittens, one of them is naughty,I have to watch to make sure he doesn’t land in a place where he can be in trouble. It’s amazing how smart he is , I only have to say,”No Nelson”, he stops doing what he thinks I do not approve.

I also listen to my favorite songs which helps me to wind down, I write, read my novel I bought a few days ago. I sometimes talk to my dearest brother who understands me and knows what to say when he sees me stressed out.I am thankful I have a variety of things I can depend on to calm down.

  1. Dear Ranu,

Thank you for this post about mellowing out. We all need to mellow out some, and not take life so seriously.

    All good wishes,

    • As long as I read novels I calm down instantly. I’m reading a novel ,the title is “a dog’s journey”. It’s a very interesting
story of how a dog feels about his master or mistress,we humans can learn a lot from it, I’m giving myself an opportunity to do just that.
Next one waiting for me is, “The Art Of Hearing Heartbeats”, I hope to learn something from this one too I hope. After learning from,”A dog’s journey”
and, “The Art Of Hearing Heartbeats”, I’d calm down up to a point where my feelings will be numb.Wouldn’t that be awesome!

  2. sometimes we have very odd way of winding down, personally reading never helps me to calm down, I have to do some running to calm down 🙂 on the other hand I can only read when I am already calmed down. Isn’t this strange?
