Writing Prompt: Too big to fail
Tell us something you would attempt if you were guaranteed not to fail( and tell us why you haven’t tried it yet)
I’d like to attempt many things, the first and foremost would be to write a book about my experiences so far, good and bad, awesome people I met, places I visited, my teachers from lower grades to college and universities, my teaching experience, my disappointments, it will be my autobiography.
I did not try it yet, I think I have a lot more to learn and the best is no one has guaranteed I will not fail, which is the main reason why I did not write the book.

Oh, DO write it, Ranu; I should love to read your life’s story so far. xxx
Thank you Ali.Maybe if I feel it is something people will read.
Ah but Ranu, you will always be learning for the rest of your life so why not write now for what you have found and learned up to this point? Think of it this way, you are guaranteed a follow-up book with what you learn next! Don’t wait! And also fail according to who’s rules? Do you fail yourself by not writing? Would you fail if your book did not sell? Would you fail if you did not complete it? Maybe make your book into a collection of short stories… I know I would read them!
Thank you Renata, you’re so sweet, I love your comment.
I meant every word!
Thank you so much.
I was once asked to compile all my translations of Tagore’s work into a book. I did not do it. Maybe some day I’d gather enough courage to write a book. Publish it and send it to my blogger friends who are so generous with their outstanding comments.
Dear Ranu,
Thank you for this post which touches on a topic which afflicts us all…fear. Conquer fear, and all the rest follows, according to me. Our Iqbal studies are, I believe, central to this.
All good wishes,
robert
Yes they are. I’ve learned more from Iqbal studies than from anything else. Thanks for your comment Robert.
