365 days Writing Prompt: Do not Disturb

How do you manage your online privacy? Are there certain things you won’t post in certain places? Information you’ll never share online?Or do you assume information about you is accessible anyway?

I maintain my privacy by not writing too much about myself,I stick to the bare minimum. One must always be cautious about writing things about themselves in very public places.

While we are moving ahead in technology, and it is a good thing but in some cases it might jeopardize our privacy by things that are too easy to find. Identity theft is one of the main causes of fear, why must anyone make it easy for those who are there to cause you damage.

DP Daily Prompt: Binding Judgment

Does it ever make sense to judge a book by its cover—literally or metaphorically? Tell us about a time you did, and whether that was a good decision or not.

As far back as I can remember, I did not pick up books to read by looking at its cover. I went for the title instead.

My early years in teaching I read books if the title was interesting, and recommended them to my nine year old students. There were a lot of books in our classroom shelf, my kids didn’t read they were just not interested.

One day I was looking for a book to read, I found a book the title was,”This Can’t Be Happening At Macdonald Hall.” It immediately caught my attention, I looked at the back of the book and found out it was written by a twelve year old for a class project. His teacher suggested he should publish his story, as advised he took it to the Scholastic publishing company, they were impressed by it and published it. His book was very popular and was read by thousands of students across Canada.

His other books were ,”I Want To Go Home,” this one was a best seller too.He has written many books after.

Another book I read was, “A Dog’s Journey”, then the next one was, “The Art Of Hearing Heartbeats”, I have read many books I have chosen for the title and not the cover.

I also read books by famous authors such as , ‘Paulo Coelho’, I read all his books I liked most of them, the one I did not like was,”Eleven Minutes”, Paulo wasn’t too sure how the book will be received but it did all right.
