365 Writing Prompts: A friend in need…
Finish this sentence : My closest friend is…
My closest friend is Dilruba, she also lives in Canada. I met her the first day I landed in Canada. She and her husband came with my husband to receive me. They knew my husband for sometime. It worked out well for us.
We lived in the same apartment building, I saw her everyday. We went for long walks daily, our favorite place was Van Horne in Montreal.
Dilruba and her husband are always good to us, I ask them to send some food items which is not available where I live. I stay with them when I go to Montreal, she is a very reliable person.
She is what I call “A friend in need is a friend indeed.”
She sounds good Ranu. It must have been quite a relief that someone so nice came to receive you in a new country and to find out that you get along with her.
Yes Sonya I am lucky to have known her, or I’d be too homesick.
Dear Ranu,
Thank you for this post about Dilruba. Long walks are nice with a good friend.
All good wishes,
robert

The friend that sends care packages is a true friend. You deserve the very best of friends Ranu!
