DP Daily Prompt: Pick Your Potion

Captain Picard was into Earl Grey Tea; mention the Dude and we think white Russians; what’s your signature beverage– and how did it achieve that status?

My signature beverage is,’Tetley Tea’. It took a long time before I discovered tea comes in all shapes and sizes. There was tea from Assam, Sylhet, Ispahani and many other varieties, none of them tasted so good, although each one claims they are the best.

Then we spotted one called ,’Red Rose’, the commercials were enticing but it was not satisfactory to me. One might think I’m one of those people who finds fault in anything. I really am not that hard to please.

There is something about Tetley Tea that caught my attention. The bags are round, it has a fine aroma and what’s best it only takes one bag to make a delectable cup of tea. You cannot beat that can you?

Fiction: Waiting

Lillie McFerrin Writes

Melanie’s father told her to stay seated on the bench in the shopping mall until he returns.

Don’t worry I’ll be back soon, he said.

The poor child sat there, she did not even stand up to see the different things in that large shopping mall, she was afraid her father will worry if he came back and she was not there.

Morning turned to afternoon, and then it was late evening, her friend Georgia offered to give her  a ride home, she refused, she believed her father would come and get her.

She was so tired, she fell asleep, she dreamed her father was telling her to go home, he was unable to come for her, when she opened her eyes she found herself surrounded by friends staring at her, Georgia laid her arm around her shoulder  and said, “I’m so sorry your father was killed when he tried to cross the street.”

365 Writing Prompts: Viral

The New York Times is going to feature your blog on its home page, and you have been asked to publish a new post—it’ll be the first thing tens and thousands of readers see.Writ it.

If I allow myself to believe I am capable of writing something which New York Times is going to feature in its home page, I have to be truly stupid.

I write and publish posts to improve my writing and please myself. who cares if no one thinks my writing is worth reading. Aspiration is something worthwhile to have, but if it gives one a sense of I’m the best, then that person should tell themselves you are a wannabe writer and you will not achieve this  kind of fame overnight.

I am contented with what I am doing,I will not try to blow my brains out to try something I am not capable of. This is my post  I’m not interested to go “Viral” but stay on this earth as a normal human being, until it’s time for me to leave!
