DP Daily Prompt: Golden Key
You’ve been given a key that can open one building, room, locker, or box to which you don’t normally have access. How do you use it, and why?
‘Golden Key’ Wow! There are quite a few to choose from, building sounds more fascinating than room, locker,or box.
I think I’ll use my key to open the building, it has so many possibilities, there might be some Ogre hiding there or a sleeping princess or a room full of gold and precious jewels.
Human mind is strange of all the things before me why did I choose a building, perhaps the word building means larger than the other alternatives.
I took my key and went straight to the building, when I opened there was a hush,I took two small steps and prayed, “Please God, I know I’ve made a mistake let me get out of here safely.”
“You want to get out safely?” Someone hollered.
“Please do not hurt me I cried, I do not want anything I want to go back to my house.”
“What if I tell you there is no way out of this building once you are in,” the invisible man shouted.
Fear made me sweat, I cried, “Take my key, please let me go, I promise I’ll never come here again.”
Suddenly I found someone’s arms around me, it was my daughter trying to wake me up, Mom she said, “you had a nightmare wake up!”
“Where is the key I asked?”
“What! There is no key I told you, you had a nightmare!

Dear Ranu,
Thank you for this brief, though suspenseful post! We have to watch what we wish for. Some doors are to be avoided.
All good wishes,
robert
It’s always said ,’be careful what you wish for!”
I keep losing my internet connection every few minutes, I thought I better not
make it too long,in case the connection is lost and I’m left with nothing.
I do not use any paper to write a rough copy, I depend on the internet, so if I lose it I’ll have nothing to show.
Ranu I see the story teller in you. I hope you bundle some of these stories and make them longer. They are enjoyable for the reader…
Thank you Leslie, I am having trouble with my internet connection, it goes on and off without any warning,
I’m so concerned of losing the connection,I try to get my writing done quickly, this is my drawback.I’m too lazy to write it on paper
and then transfer it to my website.I think I’ll have to change it to writing on paper first.
Thank you so much Leslie for your advice, I’ll do it. It is a good idea.
Hey there, I found you via the NaBloPoMo blogroll.

So I’m just dropping by to let you know I’ve added your blog to my feedreader, I’m reading you loud and clear, I have a link up going at my place so my readers can find participating blogs which you are more than welcome to add your blog link to.
Looking forward to seeing your posts. You may see me drop by again during November, but it might be December before I finish my first drop by to blogs if I don’t get faster at leaving comments. 🙂
Happy NaBloPoMo to you!

Thank you snoscomments.
This was a great post, and I love the fictional account that you spun on it. Seems like the Golden Key was the entrance to the Hotel California!
Thank you Noah, sometimes I get so carried away, I wonder how long or short should it be, this time my computer
decided it for me by threatening to lose connection any time, that kind of pressure reminded me to think of a quick conclusion.
Very good – it’s hard to write such short fiction pieces.
Thank you I appreciate your comment.
