Gwen received a letter for an interview for the job she applied, months ago, she gave up thinking the position was probably filled.
She knew an interview does not mean she’s got the job but the possibility of getting it excited her.
The interview was scheduled for 1 pm on Thursday, it was already Wednesday, she’d have to start reading some articles on the subject, she was about to find the articles on her bookshelf, when there was a sudden knock on the door, she reluctantly opened the door standing in front of her was Steve, the know it all, what does he want she thought, she a forced smile, she asked, “Hi Steve ,what’s up?”
“Gwen , you won’t believe what I got on the mail, an interview for that job we both applied for?”
The news came as a shock to Gwen, she started feeling sick, the glimmer of hope she had of getting the position disappeared when she saw Steve with the letter!
For our final trio prompt of the year, write about any topic you wish, but make sure your post features a bookcase, something cracked and a song you love.
Raphael and Gabriel my favorite felines were happily eating their food I gave them for lunch, I thought while they’re busy eating, I’ll check the Youtube to listen to the narrator about the Moors in Spain. I was busy listening and enjoying watching some of the cities in Spain. Suddenly it dawned on me I have a book on Spain let me check if I can find some of the places in Spain the narrator is talking about. To my utter disbelief I found Raphael pulled out a book from my bookcase, he had a part of the cover in his mouth busily chomping it.
I carried Rapha and put him in the hallway. On the other side of the living room Gabriel knocked down my table lamp and cracked and broke a few pieces, I carried him out and told both of them, they are not allowed in the living room the rest of the day.
I was very upset with the felines, I thought I must listen to my favorite song, it will at least make me forget about the felines for sometime.
Here is the song, I hope you’ll like it,it’s by our Canadian singer Celine Dion.
Share a story where it was difficult to forgive the perpetrator for wrongdoing you, but did it— you forgave them.
This is one of those prompts where I have to admit I did not and cannot forgive the perpetrator. It left a lasting impression in my heart.
When you sincerely help someone and find out she’s been lying about you to anyone who’d listen, it’s very difficult or impossible to forgive them.
This is what happened in my case, let me use as much detail as I can possibly write. They “say blood is thicker than water,”
It is not true in my case, I had this person in my home for a number of years, when I went to work she took advantage by making collect calls to my other relatives, she complained I was starving her, making her work like a maid, she did not hesitate to write to my mother as well.
The sad part is everyone believed her including my mother. No one asked me if I was really treating her this way.
I knew she was unhappy I wanted to send her back home, my husband did not agree. There were a lot more things she did I do not want to write everything, I’m happy I won’t see her again, but forgiveness is out of question!
Rabindranath Tagore wrote this song somewhere overseas, he received an overwhelming welcome from the people who gathered to receive him ,at that point he hadn’t received the Nobel Prize for literature for his work in Gitanjoli. He was so surprised he wrote this song asking forgiveness from God.
