DP Daily Prompts: To Be Resolved
We’re entering the final days of 2014–how did you do on your New Year’s resolutions these past 11.75 months? I s there any leftover item to be carried over to 2015?
The words final days sounds so dreadful and permanent. I cannot recall making any resolutions particularly on New Year’s day 2014.
What I’ve done so far is I resolved to take care of certain things on a daily basis, some I do, others I just ignore, I tell myself I am not in a mood or there is something else more important than the one I am thinking about.
One thing I never leave by the wayside is writing my prompts, something about them makes me do it, I wish I knew what it is that drives me to write these prompts. It is not that I have a queue waiting out to read my blog, there is only one, God bless him he clicks the like button and writes his comment with so much gusto that I feel I can never disappoint him.
Coming back to leftovers, they are a way of my life, I am so thankful to whoever invented the refrigerator, I get to put away the unconsumed food in that wonderful appliance.
I do have a lot of leftover items to be carried over to 2015, it is my basement. I have to set things in order. There are so many things in there I sometimes wonder, why did I put them in the basement, I could throw them out, but I don’t know about others there is always that pack rat mentality, which stops me from discarding anything. I now am facing the problem of an overstuffed basement with things I may never use.

Yes my New Year’s resolution in the coming year 2015 is to clean my basement, I cannot make any other resolution, this alone may take me a good part of 2015!

Dear Cindy,
Thank you so much for your amazing comment.
Dear Ranu! I love reading your posts. You write with a ease and honestly. I don’t know what holds me to respond to the prompts.
It’s honesty, dear.
I always forget to make a resolution, this coming new year I’m
promising to fix my basement.
Dear Indira,
Thank you so much for your comments.
