‘Why not come with me, I’ll adopt you , give you education and we will take care of each other.’
She was a girl lost, looking for her parents, she did not know where she was, she was scared , hungry and tired. I looked at her and wondered who she was and how she landed at my doorstep.
I was lost in my thoughts and wondered how I could help this little lost girl,suddenly a thought came to my mind, why not I go for a walk with her immediately I asked,”would you like to go for a walk with me?”
Her face brightened up it appeared she was hoping I’d ask something like that. She volunteered to walk ahead of me. I had no problem, I agreed, along the way we encountered a lot of places I had never seen.
I could see a large pond where children her age were playing, their mothers were keeping a watchful eye.
Out of the blue I saw an elderly woman coming towards us, we stopped, the woman opened her arms wide and said: “Tu kahan chali gayee thi hum tujhe dhoond rahe the”(where did you go we were looking for you?)
She looked at me as if asking can I leave I’ve found my grandmother!
