Tagore song posted and translated by Ranu

হৃদয়ের এ কূল, ও কূল, দু কূল ভেসে যায়, হায় shajoni  uthale noyon bari: Alas my dear both sides of my heart is drowning,my eyes are swollen with water

Wherever I look dear friend
।: I cannot recognize anything
My heart feels a pull, the swollen river will be over-flooded
It’s such a terrible storm, my dear
। it’s not possible to keep the enclosure
: Why did such a thing happen in my youth
: Suddenly which wind blew what
I am sad, why am I hopeless
I know not what I am longing for, what is aching my heart,my dear friend
। How will I check it

  1. Dear Ranu,

Thank you very much for sharing this song and translated Tagore lyrics. These are lovely lyrics of an aching, drowning heart.

    All good wishes,

    robert

  2. My dearest sister, thanks for this refreshing treat. It is good that you are now including the Bengali script with all the songs of Tagore. I liked the melody of this song. In the translation, I like the way the imagery of storm, water and drowning is used in so many ways. 🙂

    • I am glad you like it dearest brother. It is easier to translate when the script is on the side, otherwise reading it from
my book takes longer and the task is difficult.Thank you for your comment 🙂
