365 Writing Prompt: The glass?
The glass half -full or half-empty?
An optimist sees the glass half-full, while the pessimist sees it as half empty. It is a person’s view on life. An optimist looks for good in any situation and finds a way to keep a positive attitude.
A pessimist finds fault in everything, such as why is my glass half empty while Richard has a full glass. In this scenario an optimist will think, may be there was only enough water in the jug to fill half the glass, it isn’t done on purpose.
…………………………… 🙂
That’s a great perspective on it… something I never thought of. It reminds me of the fundamental attribution error.
Hi Noah you are such a wise one,it always makes me laugh when I see your comment.
Thank you, it’s good to hear from you. 🙂
Dear Ranu,
Thank you for this post. We like it a lot.
There is the pessimist who sees the glass half empty. There is the optimist who sees the glass half full. And then, it seems there may also be the meiliorist who may actively work on expanding the glass itselt to hold ever fuller amounts of life!
All good wishes,
robert
Yes Robert, the melliorist , I forgot that one, thank you
for reminding me. 🙂
My dearest sister,
As you can imagine, I was also wondering about the meliorist while reading this but Robert has already pointed that out and the “attribution error” mentioned by Noah is also the reminder of a very interesting concept for me.
Thank you and the readers 🙂
Yes both are clever, Robert sticks to his online course,
and Noah is the wise one, and you get to read their comments. Aren’t you lucky
my dearest brother. 🙂
Yes, indeed I am lucky, my dearest sister!
