Daily Prompt: Happily Ever After

“And they lived happily ever after.” Think about this line for a few minutes. Are you living happily ever after? If not, what will take for you to get there?

“And they lived happily ever after.” This line is so familiar in fairy tales. In real life there are a lot of obstacles, one must encounter to live happily ever after. Human nature is very complex, when  they have all the wealth they need and then some, they are not happy, they wish they had more. This wish takes away the pleasure to live happily.

A man with enough money to meet his daily existence seems happier than the one who has too much. Too much or too little money is always a problem.

I am contented to have enough  to maintain my daily life. I will not say I haven’t struggled I did right after my dad passed away. But we learned to deal with it because of my mother’s belief, that this will pass one day.

Money is not the only thing which makes one unhappy, kids can also be the source of unhappiness, if we can  have patience to bear it, this might pass too, although in some cases it doesn’t .

Looking at myself I’ll say I have weathered the storms in my life. I am thankful to God for helping me overcome them.

  1. Dear Ranu,

We like this post a lot. We relate to it. We like a lot the last two lines of the post.

Thank you for sharing this with us :).

    All good wishes,

    robert

  2. It is true that even having a lot of money does not guarantee happiness. I guess you have to be content so even if you have very little but are also content, then you are really happy. Your mother was a strong, sensible lady. A lot of people would have been filled with self pity.
