Writing 101, Day 10: Farewell
Assignment: Write a poem of a farewell today.
Farewell to Everyone
………………………
It’s painful to see the loved ones go
To an unimaginable place I don’t know
I wish they’d visit me in my dream
It too is impossible it seems.
…………………….
When I went to bid goodbye to Goodenough House
The secretary received me with a gorgeous smile
She said, I still remember, “It’s au revoir , Miss Sabeth,
Not Goodbye, I hope to see you sometime soon.”
……………………………….
I went to London many times
I didn’t have the heart to say, Goodbye,
Let it be :Au Revoir till the end of time
This is what I quietly said in my mind.
………………………….
Once again I’m here to bid farewell
To my blogger friends
Who were kind enough
To leave their comment.
………………………..
Many thanks to all of you
For reading my attempt
To write poetry
Even though you were pressed for time.
…………………………..
Before I dot my i’s and cross my t’s
It wouldn’t be fair if I failed to
Mention my dear friend Robert
Who through thick and thin
Supported me.
………………….
He thinks I’m a poet how sweet is he
He counted me in the poets circle
Is it not a real miracle!
……………………………….
It’s been wonderful to read your work!
I feel the same, I enjoyed reading your comment, thank you. π

Thank you Sonya. π

Thank you dear Fatma. π
So sad and sweet. I hope I learn how to say good-bye–au revoir, that is–so well. Thanks!
Thank you clcouch, I was so sad when she said that. actually she was a receptionist at the front desk of our residence.
She always smiled when she saw me, a truly nice lady. This was my only pleasant memory of the residence. The food was really
not so good. π
