Daily Prompts: Keeping up with the Jones’
Tell us about one luxury item you wish you could afford, in as much detail as you can. Paint a picture for us.
Luxury items are something we want, because someone we know has it. Once we have it our thirst for that item disappears, and it seems we are relieved that we also own the same thing.
Rather than have the habit to keep up with our neighbors, I’d feel a lot better if I divert my attention to helping the people in need. This would do two things, I’d be happy I was able to help someone, that someone would remember, there are selfless people in our world.

Dear Ranu,
This is a great post. Thank you for sharing it.
That seems to be the pattern with us humans. We want something, and then we get it, and then, after a period of time, another want arrives for something again.
All good wishes,
robert
Dear Robert,
Thank you. 🙂
I fully agree with this. Wants are never fulfilled and lead to discontentment. Just a simple act of giving is far more fulfilling.
Thank you Sonya. 🙂
