Daily post prompt :Wind

In response to daily post’s prompt : Wind

Like Chicago, St.john’s Newfoundland is also known as the windy city. We have very strong wind in the winter, which causes power outage, when this happens one can expect to be without power for at least a  couple of days sometimes longer. When we lose power during winter, we face a lot of problems, such as no TV, no cooking, freezing temperatures and  danger of frozen pipes.

Wind in the winter is a problem in a variety of ways. Some of them I’ve already mentioned in the above paragraph.

  1. Dear Ranu,

Thank you for sharing this post. Losing electrical power due to weather is a serious issue. It highlights just how precarious is modern life, with its dependence on electricity.

    All good wishes,

    • Dear Robert,
While we have electricity it’s unbelievable, if we lose it due to weather related problems we practically cannot function, everything we have is run by electricity, so cooking, reading especially at night stops, so does any kind of entertainment TV, radio, When I think of it we are unable to do anything without electricity, we should have had other options, there used to be when we didn’t have power. But we gave it up for convenience. 🙂
