Daily Prompt : Pillage
In response to daily post’s prompt : Pillage
I came across the word, “Pillage,” when I was studying History, it was mentioned so many times I got tired of it. It has been a while, and now this word is not as bothersome as it used to be. The meaning never changed , those who won the war are cleaning the house of those who lost., just like they did when I was fifteen. Now they go after much more than silver and gold, they go for black gold. My how times have changed.
I remember people leaving their homes which were too dangerous to live in when riots broke out. They left everything behind and moved to a safer place. Their belongings were looted by the locals, who also ransacked their homes.

Dear Ranu,
What a word pillage is! It describes behavior that I’d not like to do.
All good wishes,
