In response to daily post’s one word prompt : Lukewarm
Some liquids when heated such as milk one must drink it lukewarm. If it’s too warm it will burn your mouth. Once my mom brought me a cup of warm milk to drink. I can’t remember why, perhaps I was not well and the only food I could have was milk. She said, ‘Ranu drink this milk quick before it gets cold.’
I wasn’t aware how warm the milk was, I took the milk from her and tried to drink it quickly, well the result was my mouth burned, the pain was unbearable.
I told my mom it was her fault because she told me to drink it quickly. She laughed and said, ‘I thought you’d wait till it was lukewarm.’
