In response to daily post’s one-word prompt : Quicken
I remember my mom could cook several dishes in one hour . I was fascinated and wondered how she managed to cook the food so fast. I only thought about it and failed to ask her what was her secret.
One day my younger brother rushed into the kitchen and said, “I’m hungry Mom I want to eat now.”
My mom looked at him and replied, ‘I can be afraid of you, but the stove is not, so even if you scream and tell me to hurry up, the stove will take it’s time.’
