Daily Prompt : Extravagant
In response to one-word prompt : Extravagant
Imagine me a penniless student,
Visiting the pricey Harrods shop.
This is a store where the queen shops,
I went in and quietly walked in soft steps.
I noticed a huge sign, I stepped forward,
The sign was large and each letter were flashing, ‘SALE.’
I felt at ease, perhaps, I can buy something here.
I overheard two rich women who stopped by and
Exclaim, ‘This is on sale? I think even for us
This is terribly “EXTRAVAGANT!”
‘Even for you,’ I softly replied.
The way they looked at me it felt as if,
Their large eyes were ready to grab my tongue!
…………………………… 🙂
Dear Ranu,
This is a well written and entertaining post!
All good wishes,
robert
Dear Robert,
Thank you so much, I did go to Harrods because they had sale signs, I thought if I’m lucky I might find something I’ll be able to afford. But their sale wasn’t for someone like me.
An interesting story, and full of subtleties 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much Shafique. 🙂
