The Beverly Hillbillies
The TV Show, The Beverly Hillbillies, was a very interesting portrayal of country folks as bumpkins or Rubes. I enjoyed watching Jed And granny’s perfect acting of naïve clodhoppers, who are too simple for the arrogant city folks.
I believe when someone is a rube it does not mean they are stupid, they are innocent people who trust the filthy politicians, who take advantage of their innocence, simply to get their votes.
