In response to prompt : Mallet

The Mallet And The Chicken!

Dear judge, do not pound so hard,

For I’m  a piece of chicken, not a  piece of lard.

I know you will dress me up,

You will salt me use a dash of pepper,

Make me tasty for your friend Mr. Tapper.

If not for me have some feeling for the mallet,

You’re wearing the gavel and your very own palate!
