One day I’ll disappear like the road

I will not come back like the river

Like the day my time will end

and I will never come back

Like the fallen leaves in the wind

my mind will build its nest

in a painful sky

I will disappear like the shadow

While leaving when the traveler

Looks back and thinks of the past

His heart breaks when he

thinks about the bygone days

when the light fades from my eyes

and my mind takes over

I feel this is the end

I will never come back

I came to this  world alone

and alone I must leave it

My happiness will end

It will never come back!

Daily Prompt : Awkward

In response to prompt : Awkward

An Awkward Situation!

Some people deliberately put others in an awkward situation. I had the misfortune of knowing someone who enjoyed appearing out of the blue  when she was least expected.

It happened more than once. I recall the time when my aunt and I went to watch a movie in one of the movie halls in my hometown.

I was about to enter the hall when suddenly I heard a loud voice : So this is where you are!

I turned around, there was my relative laughing, I was furious, I tried to stay calm, but she continued to embarrass me, the person at the door interrupted her: ‘Madam the movie is about to start, can you leave, please.’

Later the gatekeeper apologized and said,  ‘Who is she?’

I just said, ‘someone I know,’ and quietly walked in the theatre with my aunt.

Daily Prompt : Narcissism

In response tom prompt : Narcissism

Narcissism

Narcissism is a fascinating topic. I’m glad there’s only 1% of the general population who has this disorder NPD( narcissistic personal disorder).

Those who have this disorder overestimate their ability and have an excessive need for admiration and affirmation.

The term narcissism comes from the Greek myth about Narcissus, a handsome Greek youth who according to Ovid, rejected the  advances of the nymph Echo. This made him fall in love with his own reflection in a pool of water.

Most people have some narcissistic traits. I can live with some traits, but for it to manifest into a pathological form known narcissistic personality disorder is sad indeed!
