History Repeats Itself, posted by Ranu
Nations come and nations go
My books of history told me so.
Roman Empire came and left,
The stories tell us it was deprived
Of all the power it thought would last.
Sad to see it disappeared so fast.
More nations are aiming to do the same,
This time mankind will destroy all
There’ll be no history to write wouldn’t it be a shame? π¦
Dear Ranu,
Thank you for this. You’ve touched on a key point of nations and empires. They arise, grow, reach their apogee, and then inevitably fall away.
I suppose this cycle is something to get used to.
All good wishes,
robert
Dear Robert,
Thank you for your comment. These days I take in large doses of news, which in my opinion is not good. It’s a very dark atmosphere, liars are on the rise, humans are ready to give up their faith to benefit themselves. God help us all. π
Yes, it would be a shame. This is well-crafted wisdom.
Thank you Clouch for your comment. π
Yes it would be a shame, but we have brought it on ourselves, no lessons learnt from out history.
well written Ranu xx
Dear Sonya,
