Daily Prompt : Narcissism

In response tom prompt : Narcissism

Narcissism

Narcissism is a fascinating topic. I’m glad there’s only 1% of the general population who has this disorder NPD( narcissistic personal disorder).

Those who have this disorder overestimate their ability and have an excessive need for admiration and affirmation.

The term narcissism comes from the Greek myth about Narcissus, a handsome Greek youth who according to Ovid, rejected the  advances of the nymph Echo. This made him fall in love with his own reflection in a pool of water.

Most people have some narcissistic traits. I can live with some traits, but for it to manifest into a pathological form known narcissistic personality disorder is sad indeed!

Drug Complication!

I learned it the hard way,

I must listen to my heart anyway.

I took pills to cure my falling hair,

Found out one must seriously care.

Their drugs are the best ones to take,

For it stops the problems of hair loss,

It was naïve of me to believe that

Drug will cure the problem it’s a fact

Turns out it’s the worst decision I made,

These pills caused me a lot of complication

Now I am facing allergies I’ve never Known!

Premature Planting Of Shrubs!

One year in the month of June, my husband bought five evergreen shrubs and planted in front of our house. First few days they looked gorgeous and were growing beautifully.

One day the sky suddenly looked ominous, a fierce wind blew suddenly, with it heavy snow. The weight of the snow was too heavy for the shrubs to survive. People in the town believed we planted the shrubs prematurely, that even in the month of June we can expect a snowstorm.

I was sad for this unhappy event, and decided it’s not safe to plant these delicate shrubs in June. After this incidence we gave up the idea of planting evergreens altogether!

Daily Prompt : Infect

In response to prompt: Infect

When important people tell lies 24/7, they infect everyone around them. In the beginning the people who work for them  go along with the lies,  soon they become aware they’re lying but have gone so far, they’re not able to change. They lie for many reasons, one is they’ll lose their job, if they correct their boss. Once they start lying they are unable to tell the truth.

Plato said: False words are not only evil in themselves, but they infect the soul with evil. ……………………………………………. 🙂

Daily Prompt : Slight

In response to prompt : Slight

The Slight Child!

In form, face and height, she looked slight,

She knew how to push the cart with her might.

Within a meager minute her temper reached its height,

‘Stop,’ said Dad, ‘or I’ll leave you here,’

But the spoilt little kid didn’t care,

Frustrated Dad walked to the door,

Big sister, ‘yelled don’t cry any more.’

Who lost who won is pretty hard to tell,

Out the door I went for I didn’t feel well!

Daily Prompt: Rebel

In response to prompt : Rebel

Rebel VS Obey!

Because one is a rebel at times,

Doesn’t mean he/ she doesn’t respect.

Sometimes it’s okay to oppose,

Or else they’re taken for granted.

There is a fine line between obey and disobey,

A sane person understands when it is right.

rebel is not necessarily a  terrorist,

But tries to explain when things are unfair!
