Honestly evaluate the way you respond to crisis situations. Are you happy with the way you react?
Whenever there is a crisis situation in the family I try to find the best possible way of dealing with it. I’ve had these situations more than I care to count, each one was different and the solution of course had to be according to the seriousness of the situation.
My husband was not very calm, he’d get extremely anxious, which was not always good for him, considering he was a heart patient.
Once one of my daughters was crossing the street in the evening, a motorist hit her, he claimed he did not see her, her left shoulder was hurt. As soon as my husband heard it he immediately had angina pain. I explained to him he must stay home, I’ll take the daughter to emergency. He stayed back, we went to the emergency waited for hours before anyone came out.
Sometimes I feel the word ‘EMERGENCY’ is a farce, you go to the hospital no one seems to take you seriously, they take their time, they are happy to let the patients wait, because they have a sign up which says, “minimum time to wait is at least six hours”.
Do you have animals in your life? If yes, what do they mean to you? If no, why have you opted not to?

After a long day at work or school,what are your favorite ways to wind down and decompress?
My way of calming down is different I think. Now a days we are taking care of two beautiful kittens, one of them is naughty,I have to watch to make sure he doesn’t land in a place where he can be in trouble. It’s amazing how smart he is , I only have to say,”No Nelson”, he stops doing what he thinks I do not approve.
I also listen to my favorite songs which helps me to wind down, I write,read my novel I bought a few days ago. I sometimes talk to my dearest brother who understands me and knows what to say when he sees me stressed out.I am thankful I have a variety of things I can depend on to calm down.

She sat in a corner of her room. Her face had no expression, yet it seemed she was deep in meditation. I sat next to her thinking she might tell me why she was so quiet, I wanted to ask her if she needed anything, she looked at me held my hand and gave me a kiss. I was afraid something bothered her but she wasn’t going to tell what it was. I never saw anyone look so calm.
I wondered why I was so anxious to know what was going on perhaps there was nothing to tell. She was enjoying her quiet moment. Then my thought told me a different story. Some of her siblings turned against her. She never knew what she’d done for them to treat her that way.
Rather than argue with them she decided to stay silent and keep to herself and think of things that were pleasant once upon a time. Yes I believe sometimes silence gives you piece of mind which is hard to get when you are discussing it with someone who can make things worse than better.
No wonder they say,”Silence is Golden!”
If possible I want to think of something to calm a person. I’d like to invent by careful thought and observation,what can work for someone who leads a very stressful life.
Our environment has altered immensely.No one has time to think of anyone but themselves. A selfish society like ours requires a selfless person who is more than happy to spend a few minutes to relieve a fellow human overcome stress.
Stress is the cause of a lot of ailment from heart problem to high blood pressure and so on. In my mind if a person can calm down and not worry about everything we’d have a healthier world.
It is said pets such as cats and dogs can help to cure stress to a large degree. By playing with them and looking after them helps to calm down.
