Nasa is building a new voyager spacecraft that will carry the best of human culture. What belongs on board?

I would love to see the Best Chefs, famous Artists,  Musicians, Scientists and Physicians. Nurses to take care of any one   on board who gets sick.

All these people will entertain each other as they perform their specific craft. Wouldn’t it be lovely?

365 Writing Prompts: VIP

Who’s the most important person in your life– and how would your day-to-day existence be different without them?

Does it have to be a person for it to be VIP? To me my most important thing is getting up in the morning to check what is the writing prompt for the day.

There are days when I feel I’m not sure what I’ll write, I like it because I have something to do. Without it I’d be lost. There is the TV but I do not like everything they show. Having written that, I do need it to know the weather forecast, the temperature, sometimes I like watching the weather forecasters how they seem excited when there is stormy weather to report.

Lately I am interested to watch the food channel the competitions between chefs is wonderful !

365 Writing Prompts: Festivus for the rest of us

You have been named supreme ruler of the universe. Your first order of business  is creating and instituting a holiday or festival in your honor. What day of the year is your holiday? Describe Your Day in as great a detail you can muster : The special foods we’ll consume, the decorations we’ll use —everything.

I am thrilled to know I am named as the supreme ruler of the universe. I want to let the people decide the day that is best for them to proclaim as a holiday.

Once the decision is unanimous I along with the citizens will  draw up a plan, how the day should be celebrated.

On the morning of the holiday the towns,cities, and boroughs will be provided with sufficient financial aid to bear the cost of decoration, kids would be invited to do some artwork as one of the decorations, these will then be be pasted on the pillars and walls of the community.

It will be a day when men women and children will be encouraged to wear their finest clothes and sing happy songs of celebration.

There will be a variety of foods representing all the nations of the world, steak, butter chicken, ham, fish of all kinds prepared by the best chefs will be served.

Dessert will range from Ice cream of all flavors to cakes, pies, laddu, halwa, ras gulla and other delectable items will be served.

At the end of the day all the citizens will be given enough money for one week to do whatever they want.

This is what I think will make everyone happy.

DP Daily Prompt: Festivus for the Rest of Us Ranu’s post

If   I am named the Supreme ruler of the universe. How wonderful it is to pretend I am such a person. Well the best day to create a holiday in my honor is June 15th.

I will announce on world TV I have picked June 15th as a universal holiday. On this day the humankind will gather in their respective countries to celebrate  the said date in my honor.

The streets,houses,shopping malls,public buildings,schools,colleges,universities will be required to fly flags of peace. Men women and children will dress up in their best clothes. Those who are unable will be provided with the finest clothes according to their choice. The streets, and all the buildings will be decorated with colorful streamers. Trees will be adorned with multicolored lights. Famous artists will be requested to paint their best art and display them on the walls of public  buildings.

Children will sing  several songs of peace and unity. They will parade the streets,dancers and singers will join them to make it a memorable day. Anyone wishing to join in will be welcome.

On that day all of humanity will have happy faces. Any kind of prejudice against caste ,color or creed will not be entertained. It will be a celebration of the universe.

The food provided will be universal. I mean every kind of food  will be there to suit everyone no one will go hungry. Here is a list of foods:  beef, chicken ,ham and pork,mutton, lamb,all kinds of fish.The preparation will be baked,boiled,broiled,fried,curried. They will be accompanied with  rice prepared in different ways. All the varieties of bread. Pasta will also be served . This will be the day food of every variety will be served.

Next is the drink : there will be water or any other beverage desired by the people.

Dessert: We all like dessert. Chefs from all the communities will be encouraged to make their best dessert such as all kinds of cakes,pies etc.

At the end of the festivities we will thank God for making our day successful.

After the celebration,the people will be provided with  luxurious suites  to have a good night’s rest and sleep!
