It has finally been decided the penny has overstayed its welcome.It costs too much to keep them in circulation.If you want a dollar you will need a hundred pennies.Too much work for little or no gain.If you carry them in your pocket,the weight will create a hole in your pocket. It has no place in your wallet,your bag will be too heavy. Result,chuck them out of your bag.
I am writing about our Canadian penny.I wonder if the penny could speak,what will it say?I used to watch on T.V ‘A penny saved is a penny earned.’ They will have to come up with something new and exciting.
I was told about the penny’s demise by a store clerk. You can imagine,how I get my news! Now I have this daunting task of finding a home for my pennies in my ‘Piggy Bank.’ Some people have started a new business,they are using as a pendant and selling them.
Perhaps I will send them to people who are using them as a pendant.There is a problem,due to their weight,they cannot be shipped,it will cost too much. Do I want to do this,on second thoughts,not really.
I am a penny,
there are so many
no one will want me,
isn’t it funny.
