In response to daily post’s one-word prompt : Cranky
We have a very irritable Cranky cat
His voice is coarse and I call him a brat
When he’s cross he climbs up the shelf
And he makes himself look like an elf
We warn him to come down or else we say
He will be sorry and remember this day
Nothing bothers this grumpy feline
I wish I could give him away so he’d pine!
Does a messy home(or office) make you anxious and cranky, or is cleaning something you just do before company comes over?
I like a neat and clean home all the time. I do clean daily and this is what I like normally. Lately it is changed considerably. We have two cats who love exploring, this makes everything out of order. They also shed a lot,it’s difficult to clean up every time there is a mess.
I look the other way, I do not enjoy cleaning every few seconds. I therefore leave everything to be cleaned at the end of the day.
If I’m expecting company I do not let the cats come into the living room after I clean up.

A messy home makes me cranky,if there are more than one person in the house it’s not easy to keep things squeaky clean or clutter free. I do try to make the inhabitants aware of the mess, not all of them care, they hear, but it comes through one ear and goes out the other.
I think these days we seem to have too much of everything and most of the time we can do with half or less of the things that occupies our abode. Instead of keeping us from buying anymore we go ahead with our bad habit of buying. There have been times when I tell myself I’m just going to window shop,I end up buying arms full of things I may not use in the next few years.
So while I get cranky and anxious of the mess and clutter I am guilty of contributing to it also.
I clean up before the arrival of company and feel at ease looking at a neat and tidy house, but It doesn’t stay that way too long.
