The above is the picture of Burton’s pond, the building behind it is the residence of Memorial university students, in St. John’s , NL.

I’ve never been inside  the building but had walked around it a few times. I live very close to this place. In fact when I go for a walk to Churchill Square, I pass by this building.

I have visited the pond, it’s a small one where you can see ducks wading and having a good time, or so it seems. No one is allowed to feed them. But some do to see the reaction of the wading ducks, of course they come in groups to get the food. Who wouldn’t?

If you are a living human, animal, insect, vegetation, food is the most important thing.

Times have changed, there are a lot more cars belonging to the students parked there. One time there were only a few.

Right now there are a lot more parking lots  constructed for the students and faculty.

Some students rent places close to the university, it is convenient during winter when driving can cause a lot of headache, because of snow and  freezing rain.

Writing Prompt: Wall to Wall

What do you display on the walls of your home—- photos, posters, artwork, nothing? How do you choose what to display? What mood are you trying to create?

My walls at the moment are showing off the painter’s craft. I am busy wondering, do I want to cover his artistic work by hanging artwork or pictures or posters or photographs? It will hide the beautiful painting, on second thoughts I am not sure I should leave the walls as is. It will quickly lose its lustre and my friends and all those big mouths will have a field day discussing how awful my walls look.

I am thinking of celebrating nature, the paintings and other work of art are screaming to adorn the empty spaces on my wall.

The colorful feather of the peacock, the ducks wading on the lake, the beautiful garden and the flowers will depict nature’s beauty.

The painting of the geese with their outstretched wings, ready to take off any moment will be wonderful to watch.

There are two different painters I am thinking about, one took a bucket of paint and used his brushes and rollers to paint the walls with my choice of colors.

The other has an easel where he also paints but his tools are different, his paint comes in small sizes, his work if he happens to be famous sells for a lot of money.

I’d stop right now and pick the paintings to cover  my walls  with paintings of birds,I’ll put up the paintings of birds, flowers, lakes.

They will I hope look beautiful in my living room.
