Commenting basics, day Five: Commenting on Comments

Day Five: commenting on comments

A conversation between me and Indira.

This was my comment on Indira’s blog, after I read her story about the dog and the squirrel.

Ranu’s Comment to Indira: Your story about the dog and the squirrel is awesome. The dog I feel came back twice, first to make sure he was safe, so he sniffed your feet and ran away. When you didn’t chase him, he thought it was safe to play with you, which is why he wagged his tail and licked your feet.

The squirrel wasn’t sure how to take you, it didn’t feel safe to hangout, so it ran away.

Would you say my observation is correct?

Indira: Your observation is perfect dear.Love and hugs.

Ranu: Love and hugs to you too, it’s long time no see.  🙂

A writer once said ,” you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” If this is true which five people would you like to spend your time with?

The five people I’d like to spend my time with are 1. Valerie(my neighbor) 2. Evie ( my college friend) 3. Dilruba (my friend) 4. my daughter and  5. my brother.

All the people I have mentioned possess very unique qualities.

Valerie is an English Prof in the university, she is a delightful person. Recently she came back from Ireland after a three week trip. She brought a beautiful scarf for me.

Evie is my college friend, she has a very sweet personality, she calls me often to tell me about the places she visited. She tells me not to call her, she has a plan where it doesn’t cost her much to call. I told her it doesn’t cost me much either. She insists she’d call me. Isn’t she sweet?

Dilruba is my friend who lives in Montreal, she is very good to me when I visit her. She has three awesome kids, I love them all.

My daughter is an angel, she does a lot for me. She loves to give me gifts. I adore her.

And what can I say about my brother, he is the kindest person I know. He is a writer. He offers online courses. I love taking these courses, I must admit I have learned a lot. I thank him for all the information he provides us.

The above are the five fabulous people I love and adore. They are delightful and the most trustworthy people I know. They make our world a very happy place.

DP Daily Prompts: Five a Day

pad2015-s1.png (308×60)

You’re being exiled to a private island, and your captors will only  supply you with five foods. What do you pick?

I will pick, 1. water, 2. a vegetable ( which is good for health) 3. fish or meat( a kind that is not harmful to our health. 4. fruit (any kind) 5. a snack ( some kind of nuts, biscuit, or even another fruit).

My first item is water, we cannot survive without water, it is essential to maintain good health.

My second preference is a vegetable of any kind. I named only one because we are allowed only one.Eating vegetable daily is advised by our physicians. What  a vegetable can provide for our health other food items do not.

Third on my list is fish or meat: out of the two I have written fish is better than beef or even chicken as far as our health is considered.

Fourth is a fruit: It is just as important and useful as the vegetable. Its function is to keep us regular, it is an important part of maintaining good health.

Fifth and last on my list is a snack: we must eat snacks that are good for our health, I have included nuts or biscuit or even another fruit. Since I can only list five things, I have thought about the foods very carefully, to make sure while we are captured ,we eat foods that will keep us healthy!

DP Daily Prompt: Time after Time

pad2014-s.png (308×60)

My favorite tradition was baking a cake celebrating the birthdays. We had five birthdays to celebrate, each on a different month. Our menu was more or less the same.

I cooked rice, chicken, beef and a vegetable. The main attraction was the cake. I made sure we cut the cake after supper, or else the kids wouldn’t eat supper.

Then we all had gifts for the person whose birthday it was.

It’s not the same anymore now we are only two and it’s not as exciting as it was when there were five of us with some family friends.
