Living In The Sufi World

It’s Sunday morning. Grand Slam Wimbledon Tennis tournament is in full swing. One may wonder the title doesn’t match what is written below.

I know it isn’t, what I’m about to write are some beautiful words I discovered in my book.

So be ready readers, soon you will find out that my mind roams around in all kinds of news and ideas.

This time I found this basic Sufi principle to live in the world and still pursue the highest mystical goals. To serve others in a real sense is to serve God, and this service is considered by many saints to be the highest form of worship. It is not enough simply to love or to know. We have to act on our love and our knowledge.

Love and Service. To be a dervish is to love and serve others. The dervishes seek to love one another. this is actually the duty of a human being.

There are two conditions required of every dervish. One is to remember who has created us and praise our creator also be thankful to Him.

The other is to serve God’s creation, starting with human beings first, and then animals and plants. God says: The best humans are those who are useful to others.

365 Writing Prompts: Regrets I’ve had a few

What’s your biggest regret? How would your life have been different if you’d made another decision?

We are human beings after all, we are never satisfied with what we have we feel life would be different if we made a different choice.

As a child growing up I loved to learn to sing, because music was my favorite, I loved to listen, sing, I enjoyed it immensely. My mother thought it should only be heard and enjoyed, it wasn’t something you spend your days learning, in other words it was not a career her child should choose.

She wanted her children to have the right education, music wasn’t one of them. So I studied, art, history, geography and all the other subjects which counts to have good education.

Regrets, sure mine was I could have studied and learned to sing as well, but that was not an option, I was only twelve or perhaps thirteen, what did I know, at that age I needed guidance and my mom helped me with it.

Time they say heals all wounds, I supposeĀ mineĀ is Ā healed too.

O ,Mother Of Bengal let your sons experience good and bad deeds, sorrow and joy,ups and downs in life.

Let your sons be human

O most affectionate mother land__in your land of millions

Don’t keepĀ them as innocent children any more.

Let them explore all the countries whichever is the place

make them independently find that abode.

Every step of the way you are protecting them from making small mistakes

do not restrict them and hold on to them as obedient sons.

by giving their life ,enduring pain and suffering, alone

let them distinguish between good and evil.

Take your pious, weak and peaceful sons

let them be homeless, daring and reckless.

O, my admirable mother you have kept your seven million sons,

as Bengalis_____you have failed to raise them as human beings.
