Poetry, Day Five: Imperfect
Poetic Form : Limerick
I look at this old window and wonder.
Did someone see it when it was newer.
Now its ugly face.
One must replace.
I bet the new one will look better.

Poetry, Day Five : Imperfect
Poetic Form : Limerick
I hired a contractor to fix my basement,
He employed his kid who is so efficient,
He’ll wow you with his skill
Don’t you worry he surely will
Make you say oh he is so efficient!
……………………………..
Sadly I saw he disfigured the place
It looks like robbers burgled its face
By throwing all my stuff
Not caring enough ,
Showing this is how he fixes a place!
…………………………………..
I called the contractor to come and see
How much damage his kid did to me
He said he didn’t know
Where all these will go
So the contractor’s kid threw them around for me to see!
………………………………
Thanks to this contractor, whom I will never hire
I’ve learned not to trust these people who don’t tire
Who can only boast,
So they can toast,
People like me who trust them and hire!

This was once a window shiny and bright
Neglect is the reason it doesn’t look right
It needed some care
But no one was there
Now it seems better to remove it from sight!

Mind and Life Matters, Week 21, Limerick Challenge : ENVY
Envy is the Mark of an ill Nature
A jealous human is a silly Creature.
He will never gain,
Will end up in pain,
So it’s better for him to change his Nature!

My husband decided to buy a house,
To me it was uglier than a mouse.
The floors were dirty;
The walls weren’t pretty,
I still couldn’t stop him from buying the house.

Limerick challenge: Power
………………………………………….
She struck the ball with authority
No one challenged her ability
Her massive power
Had made them cower
To win against her was futility!

I lost my temper I know not why
My scared little girl began to cry
Oh do not cry please
Come look at those trees
Can you see their image in the sky?

This week’s limerick challenge is : Aspire
My childhood desire was singing
I grew up and dreamed of teaching
I spend time singing
Other times teaching
What difference does it make if I’m enjoying!

Limerick Challenge, Week 5 : Pain
A traveler carrying a heavy load,
Was bitten by a dog on the road.
The pain made him moan,
As he heard his daughter groan:
“Daddy, you should’ve poked him with a goad!”

Limerick Challenge: Mist
The boat headed gingerly into the gloom
Threatening clouds hung heavy with doom
“Take heart!” said the Captain,
“Y’all in the cabin –
the fog will lift, fear not a watery tomb!” 🙂
