Hindi song: Hamein aur jeenay ki chahat na hoti, posted and translated by Ranu

Singers are : Kishore Kumar(male voice, Lata Mangeshkar- female voice)

I would not have the desire to live,

Had you been not here,

If you did not  support me,

I would remain in the whirlpool,

And would not find the shore,

Even if I was on the shore

The waves would come and drown me.

If you were not here

How can I tell you

How much you mean  to me.

You are my life’s support

I would hold on to the string of hope

And weep for moments

Had you not been here.

I would not have the desire to live,

Had you  not been  here.

I would endure

all your sorrows happily.

I would not complain

To anyone ever.

The world would jeer at me,

Happiness would weep for me

Had you not been here,

I would not have the desire to live,

Had you not been  here!

365 Writing Prompts: Fandom

Are you a sports fan?Tell us about fandom. If  you’re not ,tell us why not?

You can consider me a sports fan. My number one sports is tennis, I like watching hockey once in a while if it’s a Canadian team playing an European team such as world hockey.

I loved watching the Boston Bruins ice hockey team. I don’t get to see too many of their games, their playing schedule is not convenient for me. Most of their games start at 8 PM eastern which is 9:30 PM where I live. I can only watch one period and then it’s bedtime for me. If I go to bed after one period, the thought lingers in my mind, I wonder who is winning which keeps me awake. This is why I’d rather find out in the scores in the  morning.

However tennis matches are televised during the day, which gives me a chance to watch them. I am a big fan of tennis and among males my favorite is Roger Federer and female Maria Sharapova from Russia and also Garbine Muguruza from Spain. These players are very interesting to watch and they are also very good players. When there is a match on TV when either of them is playing, I sit in front of TV and watch until it’s over.

I watched some live tennis matches in Montreal, it is a lot of fun watching with the spectators.

Another sport I am fond of is figure skating. I watch mainly on TV, I still enjoy it. I know it would be lot more fun watching it live, but it’s not possible. 🙂

365 Writing Prompts: No longer a mere mortal

You’ve imbibed a special potion that makes you immortal .Now that you’ve got forever, what changes will you make in your life? How will you live differently, knowing you’ll always be around to be accountable for your actions?

It is a complicated question to answer how will I live my life after taking a potion which supposedly makes me immortal and I’ll live forever.

Living forever doesn’t really tempt me, the problem is all my fellow humans will be enjoying their after life and I alone will still be stuck on earth trying to do different things to survive. I think I’ll pass this opportunity to be immortal.

DP Daily Prompts: Advantage of Foresight

pad2014-s.png (308×60)

You’ve been granted the power to predict the future! The catch—each time you use your power, it costs you one day( as in you’ll live one day less). How would you use this power, if at all?

The catch takes away the fun of predicting the future. The fun of predicting is taken away by saying, I’ll lose a day of my life every time I use the power.

For the sake of argument I’m writing what if I have only thirty days to live and because I have the power to predict the future, there’ll be friends and family interested to know, given the fact each prediction costs me a day’s life, I’d lose my life in a very short time.

I am sorry but I will not use my power it’s too risky.

The clock of life is wound but once,

And no man has the power

To tell just when the hands will stop

At late or early hour.

To lose one’s wealth is sad indeed,

To lose one’s health is more,

To lose one’s soul is such a loss

That no man can restore.

The present only is our own,

So Live,Love,toil with a will

Place no faith in”Tomorrow”

For the clock may then be still.
