Limerick: Woman
There was an old woman from Greece
Who asked a warm coat of her niece
But the girl despised her
And refused to oblige her
So she demanded she leave her in peace!
You’ve just been named the casting director of your favorite television show (or movie franchise). The catch: you must replace the entire cast– with your friends and family. Who gets which one?
This role of a casting director is not easy for me to fulfill. Let me see what I can come up with.
My favorite TV show is ,’The Waltons.’ We loved watching it, it was such a beautiful story of a family, I watch it even now if it is shown.
Here is my selection : The Replacement Cast Members;
John Walton Sr: A.R. Choudhry( he is a family friend)
Olivia Walton : Dilruba ( family friend)
Jon Boy Walton: Todd Baker( family friend)
Zeb “Grandpa Walton” : Mr. Baker( Todd’s Dad)
Esther”Grandma Walton: Aunt Bessie( Fictional)
Jason Walton: Shahzad( my nephew)
Mary Ellen Walton: Shazia( my niece)
Erin Walton: Lucky( my niece)
Ben Walton: Theo( fictional)
Jim Bob Walton: Bobby( fictional)
Elizabeth Walton: Ruth ( Family friend)
Narrator: Jerome(Family friend)
The above are my cast members. I’ll have them rehearse their parts, the ones who are mentioned as fictional will be relieved from rehearsing.
This was a difficult thing to do,I sympathize with the casting directors.

Our days are organized around numerous small actions we repeat over and over. What’s your favorite daily ritual?
My everyday most important ritual is to wake up at 4 am in the morning, it is changing everyday due to the longer days. I wash and get ready to say the prayer before sunrise. It takes me twenty-four minutes to complete it. The morning prayer only takes about seven minutes, I’ve added few more where I pray for my Mom,Dad, brothers, sister, nephew and niece who are not with us anymore.
I’ve also included my very dear writer friend . It gives me great pleasure to pray for all of them. I do not know whether my prayers will be answered or not,I do tell myself I’m praying for their well-being so there will be no question in the mind of God about my real motive.
After the morning prayer I go back to bed to see if I can sleep,if not I get up, talk with our two cute kittens what they’ve been up to and to my daughter what her plans are after work.
Next on the list of other things is I find out what the writing prompt is and try to write something, if it is a repetition of a previous prompt I skip it.
I cook supper, for lunch I make a sandwich for myself. I read my book by Reza Aslan, he is an excellent writer and I find his writing enjoyable.
I watch some TV when my chores are done, I also read posts of bloggers I follow, they are terrific writers. These are some of the things I do daily.

I lost my niece couple of years ago. I can remember seeing her in London for the first time. She was a little girl. She was very happy to see me. I loved the way she addressed me ,she would say,”Auntie” in her British accent. I knew she loved chocolate,I always had a bar for her whenever I went for a visit.
It was a sad day for her parents and me. She went to work and suddenly collapsed in the office, her colleagues rushed her to the hospital. The doctor performed a lot of tests. She was diagnosed with lung cancer. She was hospitalized for a while, when she felt a bit better, she was allowed to go home. She was an optimist. When she was in the hospital, she told us she will fight the disease and soon will recover.
It didn’t happen. She died leaving behind her parents, husband, children and aunts and uncles!
