It was not easy to find a third headline on a page of the websites I follow. I checked the reader and came up with a line I thought I can use it as a headline, this one is by ‘Jen’.

Miss Dotty was having a hard time teaching her class. For some reason these fourth grade students were extremely hyper that day. When nine year old boys and girls are in a playful mood there is nothing any teacher can do to calm them down.

Miss Dotty was not going to give up, she came up with a new topic of discussion in her mind, “Why don’t I ask them what would they like to be when they grow up?”

As soon as she finished speaking, thirty hands went up, some thought if they raise both their hands, the teacher would notice.

Miss Dotty looked around, there at the back of the class William was frantically waving both hands. Well she thought, it’s quite interesting to see William’s hands up. He never participates in any class discussions, she’s got to find out what’s on his little mind.

Well said Miss Dotty, “what do you want to be when you grow up William?”

William stood right up feeling proud of himself that his teacher picked him first.

Miss he said, “can I tell what I told my mother when she asked me what I want to be when I grow up?”

Sure said Miss Dotty, “go right ahead!”

“I said, he swallowed hard  I said: “Mommy! I want to make Whiskey!”

There was silence for a few moments, then little Harry got courageous, he asked: “Miss what is Whiskey?” 🙂

DP Daily Prompt: Cringe Worthy

Once in the school where I taught the principal  decided to let my colleagues class have Art instead of mine. It was supposed to be the turn of my class.I sent mine on the particular time. Moments later they came back grumbling that the Art teacher sent them back. She was told that the french teacher’s class would have Art instead of mine. I was known as someone who lets everyone walk all over me  and I never say Boo.Mr. Principal was feeling quite comfortable doing this to me yet again. I had in seconds heard my mind saying,’squeaky wheel gets the grease’, I was livid,I wasted no time and arrived in the Principal’s office, this time I was making a case for my thirty children, who always look up to me.

I told him it was too bad her kids missed Art the previous week. I didn’t think it was  my fault  or my nine year old kids. The Principal had his mouth wide open, what Mrs.Asgar is complaining? Not knowing what to do because I was furious, he told me you can send your kids too. I felt uncomfortable doing what I did,but I couldn’t disappoint my kids. So this is one day I stood my ground.I was embarrassed at my behaviour.
