You get to design your own planet: tell us about your planet– the weather, the seasons, the inhabitants. Go.

It certainly is a great idea to design my own planet. It gives an opportunity to apply the knowledge gained from the misuse of our present planet, it  will help us not to make the same mistake of polluting the environment.

Experience tells us we have changed the seasons by our misuse of our planet. We know we must not repeat the same mistakes, so that our seasons are normal.

Storage of weapons of mass destruction will be disallowed, since  war brings misery,  the minds of the people  has to be changed.

Feeling  superior than others will be discouraged, everyone will be treated the same.  They  will draw the same salary regardless of their work.

Education will be free, the parents will be encouraged to guide their children, so that education will not be thought of as a waste of time.

Houses will be built according to the number of family members. Playtime will be strictly observed.

Religious freedom will be allowed regardless of the faith of the inhabitants.

The supermarkets will be encouraged to stock fresh produce, violators will be disciplined.

The inhabitants will be motivated to use public transportation to avoid polluting the environment by driving too many vehicles.

Health care will be provided with minimal cost. Hospitals will be clean, and the workers in them will be kind to the patients.

365 Writing Prompts: Playtime

Do you play in your daily life? What says “Playtime” to you?”

To answer your question I’d like to quote a poem by William Henry Davies.

The title of the poem is : Leisure

What is this life if full of care ,

We have no time to stand and stare.

No time to stand beneath the boughs,

And stare as long as sheep or cows.

No time to see when woods we pass,

Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

No time to see in broad daylight,

Streams full of stars, like skies at night.

No time to turn at Beauty’s glance,

And watch her feet how they can dance.

No time to wait till her mouth can,

Enrich that smile her eyes began.

A poor life this if, full of care,

We have no time to stand and stare.

Yes I feel the same as the poet, playtime, I have none, I do not have the pleasure of playing, my work piles up everyday because I’m unable to get it done at the end of the day.

Unfortunately I cannot waste any minute staring at anything!

What says “Playtime” to me is when I have free time to start my computer and start writing. Well this is what is enjoyable for me. I love reading the post of Bronx Boys, his posts are interesting. I enjoy leaving my comment. Then there is another blogger she writes so well, I can’t wait to see her post. She is twenty two or three I must say she has potential. She is one of those people to whom writing is not a chore but a welcome change from her dreary work. I was thinking of encouraging her to join speak easy and write.

Besides reading the blog posts,I read the chapters of my online course. I write my comments. Playing with words is my playtime. I get to exercise my brain, which will get rusty if I don’t. To me it’s like keeping your body fit by going to the gym or running outdoors.Physical fitness is necessary for us mortals and so is mental exercise. I get to do plenty of mental exercise. Pedaling the stationary bike for thirty minutes takes care of my physical exercise.

On week nights I spend an hour watching ‘wheel of fortune and jeopardy’,it takes care of entertainment or play. This is all I can think of!
