365 Writing Prompts: A Random Act of Kindness

Tell us about the time when you performed a secret random act of kindness—where the recipient of your kindness never found out about your good deed. How did the deed  go down?

In my religion we are expected to give monetary help to those who are less fortunate. I donated money to our local Mosque for a while, now I usually send the money to my brother,he gives it to the local orphanage.

About a couple of years ago I asked my friend if he knew someone I could send some money to help out, he got hold of his friend and arranged to send the money to him, his friend knew a family who were having a bit of trouble and could use the money. The money I believe was very helpful as the family had some debt which they paid off.

The deed certainly was well received, it doesn’t matter if they did not know who gave the money.

DP Daily Prompt: Random Act of kindness

Random Act of kindness : there were a few I was able to do,but they were not a secret, for instance I donated some money to an orphanage in my hometown. It was not a secret, the administrator gave receipts for it. Maybe the children didn’t know, but when someone knows it, in my mind it’s not a secret.

I put some gifts under the Christmas tree in the mall. This can be called a secret. I am not aware how it was received. I felt good, to me it counts.

We are supposed to give ‘zakat’ every year.  I try to give money. Sometimes it’s not possible.
