What’s your ideal Saturday morning? Are you doing those things this morning?
Saturday I usually do some grocery shopping, I come home and do some writing.
This morning I’m unable to go I had to complete the course question then take care of the writing Prompt. Now I’m busy writing the daily prompt. I cannot go shopping I promised to go watch a movie with my daughter. My routine has changed this Saturday.
It probably is better to do different things on Saturdays to make it more interesting.
What are the things you need to do within 30 minutes of waking up to ensure your day gets off on the right foot? What happened the last time you didn’t do one of these things?
Every morning I wake up well before sunrise to say my prayer, this is the first prayer of the day and we are expected to say it before sunrise, it takes me twenty -four minutes to say it. It leaves five minutes out of the thirty minutes. Usually if I remember I turn on the TV for sunset time, this is how I use my five minutes. Knowing the sunset time is necessary it helps me to say the evening prayer on time.
If I miss my morning prayer I do not feel so good, I try to make it up as soon as I can, but it’s always after sunrise,I only say the important prayer, it takes me no more than three to four minutes. I feel awful all day, because my routine is disturbed I can only blame myself for not waking up early.
I need both routine planning and laissez-faire or spontaneity in my life.
Sometimes I have to follow a routine, spontaneity doesn’t work on such occasions, for e.g., I have to get up at a certain time in the morning to say my prayer. There are five times a day prayer I have to do. I cannot say it when it is convenient.
I have a specific time for supper,I follow that time table too.
But then again when it comes to writing I put it off till I get into a mood for it. I am unable to have a specific time for it, I cannot force myself, if I do my mind is completely blank, and I don’t succeed anyway.
