In response to today’s prompt : Agile
My Agility On Ice
When I came to Montreal, my husband wanted to test my agility on ice, needless to say I was a total failure.
Each time I went to Mount Royal Park in Montreal, I tried to learn to stand on ice with my skates on,forget how slow or fast I was, I could not stand on ice.
I watched little kids moving freely without a care in the world. One little girl came to help me, she extended her hand, there I was trying to take the hand but couldn’t, I fell down. I thanked her and told her, ‘I cannot skate.’
I asked her to go on and enjoy herself, I knew I was wasting her precious time.
Knowing I wasn’t agile on ice, I tried to know if I was sharp learning Canada’s second language French. I was glad my brain could cope with the language, even though my feet weren’t agile!
