Daily Prompt: Hideout

In response to daily post’s prompt : Hideout

As humans we  need a Hideout,

My brother did it to tryout,

The food he refused to share

With us about whom he didn’t care

We called him selfish

But he wanted to relish

The  food just out of the oven

Warm, aromatic muffin!

Daily Prompt: Golden Age

If you had to live forever as either a child, an adolescent,or an adult, which would you choose– and why?

I don’t think living forever is an option for me. If it happens by chance, even if I don’t want to. I’d prefer to live forever as a child.

There are countless reasons for my decision. When I recall my childhood there wasn’t a day in my life when I was unhappy. It was a perfect childhood in my mind.

I had my loving parents, I had the security every one needs and unbelievable siblings except one. You cannot beat this feeling.

My days were filled with school, play and delicious food my mother cooked. I wasn’t worried about going hungry, or lack of shelter, or shortage of people to play with, God the Almighty provided it for us.

It was like the old song, “where never was heard a discouraging word and the sky is not cloudy all day.”

It was not the case with adolescence, or adulthood. These two stages were encompassed with sorrow, fear, and everything else that my childhood did not confront me  with.

Comparatively childhood was the best years for me!

DP Daily Prompt: You’re a Winner

It’s difficult to believe I can ever win such a large amount of money tax free.  Since I’m an optimist most of the time, I’d think I really have hit the jackpot.  It will take a few months for me to draw up a plan, how I can spend this enormous sum of money.

I’d first donate locally, because it makes sense to help the people in my city who’d appreciate getting some money. I’d pay off their mortgage, build some shelters for the poor. Invest some of it to improve  roads.  Donate some to repair run down public buildings. When I think I’ve accomplished helping my local community. I’d think how I can help the world outside my community.

There are millions of people around the world who are homeless  hungry and uneducated. My winning can help them  change their lives. It’ll be my pleasure to use it for those unfortunate people.

I’d also use some of it for all those animals who are dying because of  lack of food and shelter.

And in the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter and the sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed. (Photo credit: The hills are alive (Away))

Seven Wonders, people will not understand each other’s language unless it is reduced to seven words by Khalil Gibran.

My seven words are:

1. Love: As long as I have love in my heart, I will hopefully keep the doors of hate closed.

2. Freedom: Every one has a right to freedom.

3. Health:  If we take care of ourselves,we will be healthy.

4. Food: Every one has the right to have food,a hungry world will produce unhappy people.

5. Shelter: Shelter is a priority for all living things.

6. Clothing: This is one of the most important requirement for a human being.

7. Happy:  The world will be a peaceful and happy  place to live, if everyone is blessed with the above six.
