Song by Lata Mangeshkar Posted and translated by Ranu

There are countless unhappy people in this life ,

Despite this, life belongs to those who can enjoy it.

The stars will  appear once again

And the moon will shine.

The deserted garden will come alive

With the arrival of Spring.

Sunshine and shadow are the facts of life.

The ones who can endure it ,

Life belongs to them.

Your loss today will be followed by

gain tomorrow.

Each breath you take,

Tells you repeatedly

Life belongs to those who enjoy it.

There are many excuses

To want to die ,

But there is only one reason to live.

In the strings of hope

the heart plays the tune,

This life is for those enjoy it!

Another seer may come or not !

He breathed his last in the early hours of April 21st, 1938, in the arms of his old and devoted servant, leaving a host of mourners all over the Islamic world. There was a faint smile playing on his lips, which reminded one of the last criterions , he laid down for a truthful Muslim.” I tell you the sign of a Mumin when death comes there is a smile on his lips.”

DP Daily Prompt: Make Me Smile

pad2014-s.png (308×60)

If you’re feeling blah what is the one thing you do that  you can count on to put a smile on your face?

When I am not in a good mood the presence of Nelson makes me smile. He loves to jump and watch me from the corner of his eyes to make sure I approve. There are so many things he does can make anyone angry but not me, I just look at him and say,”you naughty boy,you mustn’t get up on the stove”. He’s happy when his friend Babble is with him. Today he is unhappy and I know why,Babble is not with him,it is making me sad too. I must get his friend to make him playful again.

I am writing and watching him,he is sleeping, I am glad he is not crying. This is what puts a smile on my face.

DP Daily Prompt: My Precious Ranu’s post

I am unable to think of anyone who can do no wrong. Yes I think one who comes close is my older daughter. She is a very considerate person. At times I feel she just does too much.

From a very young age she had the qualities of a very good and reliable person. I could always depend on her. She does not forget my birthday, anniversary.

She loves to do something nice for her friends and colleagues. She does not mind baking till the wee hours of the night for everyone she knows. She welcomes everyone with a smile.

To me she is very precious!

monay ki dwidha rekhe gele(hesitate) by Tagore Indrani Sen translated and posted by Ranu

That evening ,

what did you hesitate to tell me,

before you left?

I watched you turn around,

you had something on your mind,

Your indecision stopped you

from telling me.

I saw your smile.

Now I am sitting here,

my beating heart wants

to know why did you

hesitate to tell me?

You are far away on this earth,

I see the cranes flying above,

my pain soars with them,

Hoping I will have my answer.

I asked you many times,

What you did not tell me

when you left remained

painfully  yet

like the fragrance

of Jasmine!
