I am having difficulty pin pointing a word that creates this effect, it means something but sounds the exact opposite, rather than take the whole afternoon thinking about it.
I want to write about a particular word, it sounds the same but the meaning changes when it’s spelled differently,i.e There their,they’re.
Most of the time there and their are used incorrectly. I used to have a tough time explaining to my nine year old pupils, why the sentences, e.g Carla went to there house. I want to go over their,are incorrect.
