365 Writing Prompts: Your’e a mean one, Mr.Grinch

What is your least favorite quality in others? Extra points for sharing your least favorite personal quality in yourself.

I remember my teaching job in a boarding school, there were a few things I didn’t know about the system, I’ve already mentioned in my previous post I did complete the degree in education, unfortunately I did not learn that much from the  experience .It certainly helped me  get a job.

I had a colleague who knew everything about the system, she was one of the most experienced teachers, she was very nice to me, I was sure she’d help me if I needed it, but I had a very rude awakening, whenever I asked anything about the school system, she changed the subject, after a few times I learned she won’t help me.

I watched and figured out myself, months later, she took me aside and said, “I like to let you know, do not teach anything to the new teachers.”

I was not pleased to hear it, I already knew how she avoided telling me anything, I did not like her selfish behavior.

I dislike people who are selfish even if they are my relatives.

Human nature is peculiar, we are so different, one of my worst habit is I’m very sensitive, this makes me  do things  I’m not proud of .

I presume things without being sure, as a result I take action with my writing, sometimes it’s better not to put things in writing, it may come back to haunt you, I make up my mind not to repeat the mistake, so far I am not successful maybe some day I will!

The first one , Mostly Bright Ideas  deals with feelings of different groups of people, there is humor and shows the blogger knows what  he’s writing about. It’s a must read. I’ve enjoyed everything he’s written so far.

Second one is about,”Fighting for the underdog”, she spoke about one of the students, she felt needed the support of the school. Her motto child first, system second, did not win her any friends . Fury was unleashed in her direction, she was accused of being disloyal, unsupportive, unhelpful. This did not deter her from fighting for the child.

Third is , “A hangover Too long” Viewsplash by Samir Mishra : I’ve known  Samir for a very short time. I find his posts are full of humor and the reader is fascinated and cannot help but read his post before moving on. “Hangover Too Long” is one of his astonishing posts.
