DP Daily Prompt: Back of the Queue

pad2014-s.png (308×60)

Is there something you’ve always wanted to do, but never got around to starting( an activity, hobby, or anything else, really? Tell us about it — and tell us about what’s keeping you from doing it.

Lately I am thinking of writing a book, this is not something I’ve always wanted to do, but am thinking about it since last year. I’m not sure what I can write about. I have often thought about writing about the kids I taught.

My best experience came from teaching, I always loved kids they were a joy to teach, to talk with, I watched them grow into lovely human beings, they are so innocent,so outspoken,  when they think  someone is not being fair.

I remember about an incident I was teaching them religion, there was a story of the natives who allowed the visitors to take as much land as they want by walking, the visitors misused it by running as far as they could to claim the land.Immediately every single hand shot up in disapproval, they said, “But miss that’s cheating they were not permitted to do that”.

I thought about their reaction and felt God bless them, if our heads of states could be as fair as these kids, they would think twice before they took away territories from innocent nations. Wars in the name of peace would not have taken place.

Whenever I think of writing ,the faces of my kids I taught comes to my mind, and I tell myself they deserve to be written about.

365 days Writing Prompt: Switcheroo

If you could switch blogs with any blogger for a week, with whom would you switch with and why?

I don’t think I’d switch with any blogger right now ,I’ve already done this prompt. What I’d like to do is I’d check the bloggers who are creative and impressive.I’d  switch for a day to know how their system works, if I’m not comfortable I’d move on to the next one, I’ll spend the week observing seven blogs, on the seventh day, I’d start writing notes to the seven bloggers thanking them for letting me observe their blogs.

I’ll see which ones have taught me something, I might borrow some of their impressive stuff with their permission.

DP Daily Prompt: We Can Be Taught Post by Ranu

Public Library

Public Library (Photo credit: MTSOfan)

Yes we can be taught a few things from others. I was always very shy in school.I did not make friends easily. I very seldom took the initiative of starting a conversation. This gave a wrong information to my classmates. They all thought I was very proud.

Once my classmate wanted to go to the public library with me. I was surprised. She never went to any library. I agreed. We went to the library. When we sat down with our books, she said, ‘ Chaman I want to tell you something’,I gave her a puzzled look. She continued,’Because you do not talk to anyone we all think you are a very conceited person,I even said on one occasion who does she think she is?’

I was shocked to hear this. I was thinking in my mind, ‘Why will they judge me like that?’ It is perhaps human nature to make their own conclusion without knowing a person. Then in London another classmate of mine remarked, ‘Sabeth ,you will never have enemies’,I asked him why? He said, ‘You hardly talk’. I replied, ‘You’ll be surprised’. I had to explain my experience in the university.

Some think I am quiet because I am proud. Others think I will never have enemies,I hardly speak. So from this it taught me two things, not everyone thinks I am vain. It also says people make up their mind without knowing someone.
