365 Writing Posts: Six one -half a dozen of the other

Write a six-word story of what you think the future holds for you, and then expand on it in a post.

I can see a visit to Montreal in my future.

We get our call from the creator of this universe, “I have given you the necessary intellect to build your future, it is up to you how you use it.”

Whatever I needed to do I feel I’ve kind of achieved, now it’s time to enjoy the fruits of my labor. I’m hoping to go for a short trip to Montreal.

We had a very rough winter where I live, I therefore deserve some better weather in Montreal, it may not be what I expect, though a change of scenery can help.

I hope to, God willing make arrangements to see the beautiful city,Montreal. Visit the farmer’s market which is our main attraction. This will I hope energize us to face the coming winter.

365 days Writing Prompt: Teleport

If you could travel to any location in the universe– where would you travel and why.

I would like to travel to an unknown place, where like that song I learned in school, where never is heard a discouraging word and the sky is not cloudy all day.

It would be awesome to live somewhere where there are no evil people killing innocent women to prove they are strong, robbing the inhabitants of their joy of a good life.

If someone could assure me there is such a place in the universe, I’d pack up and leave instantly never to return to see or hear about the horrific crimes committed by monsters who have no love for someone else’s life.

Can we expect to see this in our world, can we wipe away crime, get rid of dishonest people, who are parasites, maybe someday when the world  undergoes  a monumental change where the criminals are put away for good. This is a universe I’d like to see, I wouldn’t have to move anywhere but stay where I am!!

Writing Prompt: Third from the top

Head to your favorite blog, scroll down to the third post. Take the third sentence in the post, and work it into a new post of your own.

I do not like to limit myself!

This universe has a lot of potential. I like to think if I try hard enough I can spread myself and see how much out there is within the realm of possibilities for me.

Yes I did limit myself in the past, thinking I was only good for one thing, teaching. I didn’t even give myself a chance to see what other things I can do successfully.

I watch the the young minds trying  things before they settle for one thing. Incidentally I have come across bloggers who paint, write poems, play musical instruments, study and are still not satisfied.

When I look at myself I’m amazed to find myself limited to one thing, if I could turn back the clock,I’d do things differently to please myself only and not someone else who doesn’t care what I do.

Maybe if I get the chance to reincarnate, I’d try to do everything I shied away from, such as learn to skate, climb a mountain, learn to sing ,run a marathon, change my profession. There is a lot of things I can try so at the end of my adventure I could proudly say, win or lose “At least I gave myself a chance.”

“I do not like to limit myself”! These words are taken from Ali’s blog. Thanks Alienora.

Taal Gaach, The Palmyra Tree by Tagore Translation by Ranu

Palmyra Toddy

Palmyra tree       standing on one leg

surpassing  trees

peeks at the sky.

Its desire            to pierce through the black clouds,

fly away__

where will it find  wings.

This is why       on top of its head

in its round leaves

it gets its wish

it thinks           these are  wings,

it’s not prohibited to fly

leaving its home.

All day              tottering sound is heard

the leaves tremble,

it thinks it’s flying_

it feels           it will  travel  the sky

avoid the stars

as if  going somewhere.

Afterwards    when the breeze comes to a halt,

the leaves stop trembling,

it comes back to reality__

the earth is its mother,

feels good once again

to see      the corner of the universe.!

An Auspicious Union __ Rabindranath Tagore

In my mind she is my closest relative

I have only known her for a short while.

I do not know much about her

we know very little of each other

alas! there is so much we don’t know.

One day one of us will leave this worldly existence

never to return to face one another,

how can we find each other in this vast universe!

Therefore in this auspicious union ,my dearest,

why do I see  you so beautiful!

Why in this short moment ,o my beloved ,

did I not recognize you as someone I knew my whole life.
