Blogging 101: Week end post

This is a post about my favorite sport, “tennis, ”  this was an anxious week -end for me and my daughter. Sunday was the day the final men’s  tennis match was played in Wimbledon, London,England. The players who reached the final was Novak Djokovic from Serbia and Roger Federer from Switzerland.

Each player had won the famous trophy more than once. Novak was going for his third trophy and Roger for his eighth . Both are excellent players and anyone of them were capable of winning the match.

This time I decided to watch the match regardless of who wins. The first few games were pretty even, after each scored six games there was a tie-break, Roger made some unusual errors which cost him the set.

The second set was equally competitive they tied at six games all, the tie break followed and Roger won the second set. I was happy I thought Roger had a chance to win.

There was a rain delay of twenty-five minutes, when they came back Roger did not seem himself he made too many unforced errors which cost him the second set followed by the third and eventually the match, I was disappointed, consoled myself by thinking Roger would do well in the next tournament.

Daily Prompt: Linger

pad2015-s1.png (308×60)

Tell us about times in which you linger — when you don’t want an event ,or a day to end. What is it you love about these times? Why do you wish you could linger forever?

Our human mind is strange, we usually are not excited to linger. But then we go about face and change our mind we want certain things to linger forever. What could be the reason for this change. If I were to guess I’d say it has something to do with how much enjoyment we get out of certain events.

I once watched a championship tennis match between two awesome players , Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, the former is from Switzerland and the latter from Spain. Roger always fares well on grass and Rafael on Red Clay.

Roger was the defending champion and Rafael the opponent tried to unseat the defending champion the venue was the lawn tennis in Wimbledon, England  .

They were playing unbelievable tennis shot for shot, we were watching on TV, I however never enjoy watching any kind of sports unless I choose a favorite.

Roger was and still is my favorite tennis player. It was a tense situation, I couldn’t enjoy it that much because I was afraid Roger might not be able to defend his title. Rafael was unbelievable.

The last set was a tiebreak, both had championship point, at one time or other, between the two I  wondered  who wanted it most,no one was ready to give up.

Finally Roger Federer was able to retain his championship point and won the match. after the match I felt happy Roger won but felt a little sad for Rafael. This was one match I could watch forever!
